The 4th edition of Rwanda Cycling Cup 2019 dubbed ‘Kivu Race’ went to Rubavu district on Saturday where Eric Muhoza, a rider from Les Amis Sportifs, Rwamagana based cycling team sponsored by Cogebanque won in men junior’s category.
Among others, Olive Izerimana from Benediction Cycling Club won the race in women category while Didier Munyaneza won in Men Elite&U23.
The race saw cyclists making laps along a 7.5 km route following the track from Gisenyi market- Cogebanque branch – ADEPR – Betel Majengo– Aéroport – Station OM – Dépôt SKOL – Lancet Laboratories – Parquet –Stones coated road – SONARWA –Rubavu district headquarters – Mostej Hotel – Hospital La Croix Du Sud – Station Kobil –Gisenyi market. Riders in women category will make 12 laps totaling to 90 km, junior men make 15 laps (112.5 km) while Men Elite & U-23 will make 20 laps (150 km) before crossing the finish line at Gisenyi market.
As the race was underway, Cogebanque presented the cheap money transfer through its agents, which can be used by customers and non-customers at affordable prices.
With Cogebanque agents, anyone can make different transactions be it cash withdrawal, depositing or bills payment.
After handing over awards to winners, Yvon Gilbert Nishimwe, the head of e-banking services at Cogebanque welcomed the victory of Les Amis Sportifs player and urged residents to embrace agents banking services.
“Today was special, we were pleased to see rider from Les Amis Sportifs sponsored by Cogebanque. It proves that our efforts are really paying off. We also had remind Rubavu residents to embrace our agents and their fund transaction services,” he said
