With 22 years of expansion and building credibility with customers in Rwanda, Akagera Business Group (ABG) through its subsidiary, Akagera Auto Zone has taken another leap as the exclusive distributor of Motul Lubricants.
To ensure the lubricants are applied in the proper way, Akagera Auto Zone and Motul recently organized a two-day training at Scheba Hotel in Kigali to update staff and dealers on product knowledge.
The training was facilitated by Chisprasong Prasit, Motul Technical Expert Corporate, which featured two sessions of training covering passenger cars and motorcycle lubricants application as well as truck review technical training based on Motul school training programs.
Anastase Nsanzimana, the Vehicle Parts Warehouse Manager at Akagera Motors who took part of the training underscored that the training was very important to him and the entire group for acquiring full understanding of the right application of Motul Lubricants.
“The training addressed problems related to inadequate product awareness. We learned about vehicle and oil identification, the right application and how to explain to customers why Motul is best suited for engines of their vehicles,” he said.
The partnership enables Rwandans to experience a wide range of optimized super quality lubricants from a trusted business partner.
According to Khalid Mehmood Khan, Akagera Motors Parts Manager, the partnership is a great milestone adding up to existing partnerships giving multiple choices to customers.
“Akagera Auto Zone is honored to be in partnership with Motul. We hope to build a strong relationship and become market leaders, ensuring that we showcase the product well and cover all possible footprints we can reach,” he said.
The first consignment of Motul products is already available at Akagera Motors in Karuruma.
Khan said that Akagera Auto Zone is looking at widening its footprint by opening more shops and increasing its dealers to sell the product.
Olayemi Seni Oyekanmi, Motul Business Development Manager, assured that Motul Lubricants are of superior quality and expressed optimism to satisfy local customers considering the brand’s longstanding experience with over 50 years of presence in the African market.
“We understand that we need to meet local requirements, but still maintain the highest level of quality possible,” he stressed.
The fact that ABG is very well known in Rwanda compelled Motul to associate with its longstanding market experience.
“ABG was the strongest basic candidate and partner for us to be able to align the strength of Motul in terms of quality performance and knowledge of the market. We have very strong footprints in the African market and we are looking for a very strong partner to introduce the brand and we are very happy to partner with ABG,” revealed Oyekanmi.
Chisprasong Prasit, Motul Technical Expert Corporate, emphasized that customers should rest assured because Motul is a premium brand with superior quality.
“Motul is a premium brand that has been producing and specializing in synthetic products for more than half a century. We are only focusing on high performance lubricants and have so many products that every single application is different varying from passenger cars, motorcycles, trucks, marine boats and gardening tools among others,” he said.
