Safintra Ltd, part of the Safal Group has hosted and shared expertize with the delegation of student civil engineers from Nziza Training Academy. They visited the plant based in Special Economic Zone to have an insight onto processes and technologies involved in roofing sheets and steel manufacturing.
Hosting local engineers is part of Safintra Ltd existing initiatives to sharpen stakeholders’ skills and imparting the right skills for contractors in construction.
Under the program, Safintra Ltd trains architects, engineers, and university students on new roofing technologies at different occasions.
During the recent visit held on Thursday 7th November 2019, Safintra staff introduced civil engineers from Nziza Trainig Academy to Safal Group activities, products, building solutions and gave a demo of manufactured products.
The academy was launched last year to provide a room for skills development to architects, engineers and engineering related project managers.
According to Alexandre Nzirorera, the CEO of Nziza Trainig Academy, the visit is crucial for engineers to turn theory into practical skills, complementing other training packages.
“The visit to Safintra is part of skills development packages to acquaint them with labor market related competences to acquire firsthand experience on how our engineers and architects are operating to grow competent local engineers,” he said.
“Training Structural engineers goes hand in hand with showing them required equipment. It is against this background that we have visited Safintra as a great company manufacturing roofing solutions to gather relevant data to be utilized as we implement our projects,” revealed Nzirorera.
Following the visit, Safintra MD Bhavesh N Chandaria said the company took opportunity to take engineers through how Safintra has for decades served African customers with pride and how it has executed great projects in a sustainable way in Rwanda.
“We also presented available internship and job opportunities at Safintra as we took them through uniqueness of activities bringing value addition in Africa as we have huge factories which produced quality steel in Africa. They were excited to learn from our expertize,” he explained.
The engineers toured Safintra manufacturing plant and later on interacted with the staff to ask technical questions regarding Safintra’s products.
Safintra has superior quality roofing materials made available through projects, for the big churches, factories, commercial buildings where the plant partners with developers directly to provide local solutions and design.
It has for long been known for a wide range of quality roofing sheets like DUMUZAS-the aluminium zinc-coated sheets that have a longer life, higher heat reflectivity–keeping the interiors cooler and high strength; VERSATILE sheets and Romantile–that are extra wide with light weight, enabling the customer to spend less with more coverage of the roof area.
It makes other coloured roofing sheets with double coat technology including Maxcover, Covermax and Resincot.
Safintra products are a result of vast experience and technical expertise which has made it a One Stop Center for roofing solutions.
