Blood is not manufactured and can only be donated by generous human beings. This emphasizes the strong need for every kindhearted human being to donate blood to save lives of patients who might have lost blood from different causes.
In line with existing initiatives to contribute to improved health of communities with most pressing issues, Safintra Ltd staff have donated blood during an exercise that took place on Friday 20th December 2019 at its headquarters in Special Economic Zone overseen by the National Centre for Blood Transfusion (NCBT).
Hyacinthe Anatory, Safintra Sales and Operations Manager expressed delight for the successful exercise of donating blood.
“We believe this exercise which is part of the company’s initiatives to contribute to wellbeing of the society is also an encouragement to the rest of the society to understand that there is nothing to lose in donating blood other than saving lives of fellow human beings,” she said.
Blood donation selection officer at NCBT, Sylvie Ufitinema encouraged other Rwandans to contribute to the cause.
“Safintra invited us to help them during the blood donation exercise and we were quick to respond because it is a good initiative benefiting the society especially saving lives of patients in critical conditions. Blood donation is a good initiative with no side effects. We encourage all Rwandans and foreigners living in Rwanda to embrace the same act of generosity to save lives of the needy,” she said.
