A Rwandan Real Estate Company, Kigali Development Heights Management on Thursday saw their dream come true when the Mayor of Kigali, Ndayisaba Fidele signed an agreement with its Managing Director, Dennis Karera and also Fusion Capital Managing Director, Luke Kinoti to kick start the the project of building a complex in a prime area at Kacyiru where Post Office used to operate from in the past.
“We went through a vigorous transparent tendering process to find the right developer, “the Mayor explained, he further said that after almost a year going through developers who had applied,it emerged the winner with 85% was Kigali Development Heights.
The Kigali Development Height MD, Dennis Karera assured the Kigali City Council that they will keep their promise to meet the deadlines of having a magnificent Complex on the 11,000sq.meter land in 2 years. “In 2 years we will put a Twin Tower,one side 9 floors and the other 6 floors,”Dennis Karera pledged.
The Kigali Development Heights Management will get a financial loan from Fusion Capital to put up the complex. The total cost of the project will cost $16m.
Dennis Karera revealed that the Building will be known as, “Kigali Heights.” The Complex will have several activities which will have offices, big shopping malls, big stores and big parking space.
The Fusion Capital Managing Director, Luke Kinoti said that Fusion Capital an Equity firm is happy to help Kigali Development Heights achieve its Dream and in addition it has earmarked $5m for Rwandan Small Medium Enterprises(SMEs).
The Kenya High Commissioner to Rwanda, Rose Makena Muchiri gave her remarks in the signing Ceremony hailing the Rwandan and Kenyan firms working together. She said that Kigali Heights and Fusion working together is an achievement for both Countries.
Kigali Mayor clarified that when one mentions a project will take a certain time People ought to consider the time of preparation and paper work “When a project is said to take a certain time to build, one has to consider the time of paper work and not start complaining when a physical Building is not yet up,” Ndayisaba explained.
Kigali City Council is in the process of transforming the City into a modern one per the Kigali Master Plan.
