It is quite common at this era for people to face economic shortfalls that require financing- funds to address specific needs or make new investments to spur their economic growth and contribute to national economy as well.
These needs may vary from payment of school fees, payment for car repair, purchase of appliances or simply needing to take a vacation. This is where Cogebanque comes in.
In its National Strategy for Transformation, the Vision 2020 and its successor Vision 2050, the Government of Rwanda set out long-term development objectives namely: eliminating poverty, and becoming an upper middle-income country by 2035 and a high-income country by 2050.
The vision of the Government is to achieve this through high savings and investment and structural transformation to a knowledge-based economy.
Sound fiscal policies are key for inclusive growth as well as adequate public and public-private investment levels.
Like other commercial banks, Cogebanque supports Rwanda’s economic growth through financial inclusion providing a comprehensive range of products and services targeted at corporate, SMEs and retail customers.
With this regard, the bank has introduced a revised personal loan facility dubbed “Gisubizo loan express”.
The latter is an unsecured loan that meets the urgent needs of Cogebanque’s retail customers.
It will enable them to get funds up to 15 times their salary, have a repayment period of up to 5 years and will be availed to customers within a maximum of 5 days if all the requirements are met.
Additionally, up to 50% of the client’s monthly income will be considered as monthly repayment and, crucially, if a customer wishes to reduce or pay off the loan before the end of the tenure, he/she will incur no prepayment penalty.
Gisubizo loan express, you can also monitor your loan repayment through the CogemBank application.
According to Mr. Joel Kayonga, Commercial Director at Cogebanque, the bank is committed to empowering customers and staying with them during times that matter to them the most.
“The Gisubizo loan express facility serves to meet our clients’ needs for short-term funds especially in unexpected moments and clients will receive up to 15 times of their salary or regular income unsecured with a ceiling of Rwf 5 million. Amounts above Rwf 5 million will require collateral,” he said.
“The Gisubizo loan express facility was put together to ensure that every aspect of it is best suited to take care of people’s urgent needs as the bank seeks to answer some of the many loan requests that we have received over time that limited clients due to the previous collateral requirements. We strive to ensure that we are best serving our clients by putting together services that are convenient, fast and easy to get,” noted Kayonga.
