President Kagame, First Lady, Jeannette Kagame and Daughter, Ange Kagame today joined residents of Mageragere sector to carry out the monthly Umuganda, where thousands of trees were planted.

Interacting with Mageragere residents at the end of the Umuganda, President Kagame encouraged them to work harder if they want to improve their lives:

“Umuganda is about joining hands, working together for the well-being of all Rwandans. Those of you who are able should be job creators and not job seekers. This perception should also be passed on to your children who need to believe in their own ability to work hard and make their future brighter.”

President Kagame assured the people of Mageragere that there would be an increase in services to improve agriculture in the area.

The monthly activity was also attended by the Minister of Natural Resources, Stanislas Kamanzi, Minister of Justice, Tharcisse Karugarama, Minister of Local Government, James Musoni, Minister of Presidency, Venantia Tugireyezu and other senior Government officials.

The Mayor of Nyarugenge District, Solange Mukasonga said the lives of the people of Mageragere had improved tremendously after the Government constructed for them schools and roads for easier access to health care.
