Besides the price-cut, the RAV4 also has the 2 year warrant or up to 50,000 kilometers which all cars imported by Akagera have.
The fourth generation of RAV4 introduced by Toyota in May, is not only equipped with hi-tech features but also is convenient, fuel friendly, and comfortable among others. Its features are already winning it high demands on the international market.
For the Rwandan market, the RAV4 (2013) which is a unique crossover SUV, was recently launched in Kigali at Akazu Restaurant by Akagera Motors an affiliate of the Akagera Business Group (AGB).
Speaking at the launch, Vinay Gorajia, the General Manager of Akagera Business Group, highlighted that the latest RAV4 is highly ideal for the Rwandan market.
“Before importing these cars, we carried out a feasibility study, the results of which showed that the vehicle met most of the needs for Rwandan drivers most importantly economizing fuel and environmental friendliness,” he scored.
Among other features that point to the version of RAV4 as a good deal for the Rwandan market are its high resale value, readily available spare parts, safety features, and low maintenance cost.
The new RAV4 is a unique crossover SUV with an edgier look larger than its previous makes. It also has a soft-touch interior, available French stitching, an audio system with a standard 6.1-inch touch-screen and Multi-Information Display. Wholly, the package creates a welcoming and comforting interior.
Giving it a better interior than any RAV4 has had is the leather-trimmed steering wheel, and the Bluetooth and Multi-Information Display controls.
The music system entails a SiriusXM Radio supported with speakers in seven locations including a subwoofer and amplifier further giving its occupants a chance to comfortably feel contented while driving.
Besides the 6-speed automatic transmission and updated suspension that RAV4’s inhabit, the latest model is available with new Dynamic Torque-Control All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system. “This means that a liter of petrol can cover a distance of 15 to 17kilometers with the new RAV4” Gorajia explained.
With regards to safety, the new RAV4 comes with a variety of active and passive safety features. Standard on every new Toyota, the Star Safety System is a suite of six advanced safety features including Enhanced Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Traction Control (TRAC), and Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) among others.
Also to ensure safety of children, the RAV4 has the Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children (LATCH). This security specification features lower anchors on the outboard rear seats and tether anchors on all second-row seats. LATCH allows you to securely mount a child into a seat quickly and easily and this qualifies the car much more for the transport of your family.
For further assurance of safety for those driving the new RAv4, there are the eight standard airbags including a driver and front passenger Advanced Airbag System, driver and front passenger seat-mounted side airbags, driver knee airbag, front passenger seat-cushion airbag, and front- and second-row curtain airbags are installed in the car.
Besides all the security measures above, this latest crossover SUV has a Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) with a Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA). This helps the driver to see vehicles that might be on his blind spot. When BSM detects a vehicle, it shows a warning by flashing indicator light on the appropriate outside mirror thus reducing careless accidents on the road.
