One month after a very successful launch on May 30th at the Kigali Serena Hotel, kountable has so far received 297 new prospective projects from Rwandan entrepreneurs looking to grow their businesses.
According to Management of the firm in Rwanda, more applications are flowing in every day as new entrepreneurs discover kountable’s services, and SMEs already using the unique quick platform of business financing in the country bring new projects they look to finance.
On average, entrepreneurs who are working with kountable are making 30% profit margins on the projects they implement together—a healthy margin that allows for investment in growth, new hires, among other business improvements and advancements.
Entrepreneurs who have benefited from kountable’s financing come from many industries including, construction, ICT, medical supplies and equipment, manufacturing among others.
More than financing however, kountable’s approach involves helping SMEs develop their reporting and project management capabilities.
In this regard, five entrepreneurs were in the past month helped to save an additional 10-15% in freight costs by utilizing kountable’s networks to get better shipping rates or deliver products faster, allowing the businesses to complete projects more quickly.
Ian Goudy, Executive VP of Operations at kountable, emphasizes, “Time is money” to every entrepreneur his team works with. Everything an entrepreneur can do to get a project done more quickly keeps more profit in their hands.
Currently, it is taking Goudy’s team 5-12 days to review new projects submitted through the company’s website (kountable.com) or mobile application (available through the Google Play Store) and provide the first response with feedback on whether the deal fits kountable’s model.
Entrepreneurs who wish to seek financing are invited to submit new projects with these time frames in mind. The process is simple and takes only a few minutes after initial signup through either portal.
