The Korean Embassy in Rwanda, in conjunction with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the Republic of Korea, has rolled out a YouTube video contest dubbed- “I love Korea, because…”
The contest is intended to share the why you love Korea and your impression on in a 3-minute-long video clip on diverse Korean attractions including Korean traditional culture, K-POP, landscape, economic development or your personal experiences related to Korea
The Entry qualification is foreigners (No limit on Age). Video guidelines include: First, make video no longer than 3 minutes introducing why you love Korea. (The video may be made with any device, such as cellphone, digital camera, video camera, or digital device.)
Secondly, upload the video on YouTube or any other legal video-sharing website.
Thirdly For interest participants, the registration is open from March 1 – May 20, 2012 (For 12 weeks) and result Announcement will be held June 11, 2012. Applicants will be required to fill the “I love Korea, because…” Video Contest Application and submit the completed application and consent form to culturemofat@gmail.com or culturemofat@mofat.go.kr
A total 11 winners will be selected and awarded in this contest. The top five winners will be awarded as follows: The Grand Prize (Korean brand car, Invitation to Korea (including round-trip airfare, K-POP live show); Gold Prize (Korean brand laptop); Silver Prize (Korean brand tablet PC); Bronze Prize (Korean brand digital camera)
Each winner will be announced individually. The Grand Prize winner will be invited to Korea, according to a communiqué from the organizers.
The competition will be hosted by Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and Arirang TV.
Participants will be obliged to abide by the following guidelines: Prize can be canceled or taken back if video clip is proved to be plagiarized or winning work from other contests; Prize winning works may be utilized for the promotion of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the Republic of Korea. The copyright of the submitted works becomes vested in the Ministry, English or Korean preferred.
However, if the languages are not Korean or English, submit a complete description written in Korean or English, along with the attached application form.
