Munana Jean Marie Vianney, a Huye business man is the latest winner of a Haval jeep 5 in the just concluded KCB Rwanda, “BIBA NA KCB” Campaign.
“I am happy that my efforts of saving were rewarded because I have all along been saving even before the competition,” said a composed Vianney, the overall winner of the Havel 5 jeep on Thursday at a prize giving ceremony.
Vianney also said that the gesture of KCB rewarding him with a Haval 5 for his efforts of saving money ought to encourage others the importance of saving. To participate in KCB Rwanda, “ BIBA NA KCB” Campaign a client had to save money in one of the three accounts which were “The KCB Cub account, KCB Simba Savings and KCB Mortgage Savings account.
“The allocation of prizes was based on the growth in savings, the minimum savings of Rwf 100,000, the frequency (number of times) and in consistency in the savings amount,” said Maurice Toroitich KCB Rwanda MD.
The KCB MD revealed the purpose behind the competition was to encourage Rwandans develop the culture of saving which will help them meet their basic needs and raise capital for big projects such as building a house.
Toroitich appreciated that the raffle was well received by the general public since it began July last year, “From that time the raffle began the Bank opened 1,682 savings accounts and new products amounting to 825,696,176 Rwf. ”
To win the prize, the overall winner revealed he managed to save 18,000,000 Rwf in 6 months and according to KCB Rwanda the Havel 5 jeep is 25,000,000 Rwf in the Rwanda market. Other prizes offered were a holiday trip for twoto Dubai, a million Rwf,a fridge and microwave.
KCB partnered with Creative Communications, Better World,Satguru and Tiger Auto for the raffle.
