In the month of June, MTN Rwanda staff members will join their colleagues across Africa and the Middle East in a 21 day-long campaign.
They will roll up their sleeves in an effort to uplift communities, and give their neighborhoods a “Y’ello” touch.
21 Days of Y’ello Care is an annual MTN Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) employee volunteerism initiative that launched in 2006, with an aim of securing high levels of participation by MTN staff in social projects that highly impact local communities.
This year MTN continues with last year’s theme of “Investing in Education for All”. MTN’s operations including Rwanda continue to engage in projects that have a positive impact on the education sector. The issue of education is a key priority for most countries, and as we head towards the deadline for the achievement of the MDGs, at MTN we believe this is a matter of urgency.
Rwanda staff members will involve themselves in numerous activities aimed at improving standards of education and distribution of education materials. MTN Rwanda is partnering with the USAID-funded Literacy, Language, and Learning (L3) Initiative in most of these activities.
