In the drive to bring services closer to the customers Hotpoint – Rwanda has opened a retail outlet in Kisimenti-Remera, a Kigali suburb to serve areas surrounding the busy tradingcentre.
“We make all endeavours to bring our services and products at the customers’ door step,” says Manoj Skariah, the Country Manager Hotpoint Rwanda.
Hotpoint Rwanda is fast becoming a market leader in the supply of electronic appliances for all domestic uses.
The good news that comes with the Remera outlet is that the residents in the area and within the vicinity have offers of attractive discounts ranging from 10 per cent to 20 per cent.
To ensure the new store meets the needs of customers, staff have been recruited from the vicinity so as to ease customer familiarisation with the showroom.
Also, the company boasts of a big technical support team who have been trained to offer repair and maintenance services, accessible all 24 hours every day.
Therefore as the exclusive distributor of LG’s wide range of electronic appliances in addition to Hotpoint, the company’s own brand, Hotpoint-Rwanda offers customers unheard warranty policies ranging from one to ten years.
“We offer a two year warranty on LG products which you cannot find anywhere else and one year on all Hotpoint products. Some components of products however have warranty policies that go up to ten years.”
With an enticing warranty offering, Skariah shared that there is no reason for customers to have headaches over faulty products and that even after the warranty expires; the company continues to offer high quality technical assistance.
“Our aim is to offer electronic appliances solution under one roof, a place where one can access every electronic product of their choice and all maintenance and reparation services.”
In addition to supply of home appliances, Hotpoint has introduced the air conditioning section with the best air conditioners and a well trained team to assist in installation and maintenance.
The Hotpoint Rwanda Manager also unveiled an ambitious plan in place to rollout services in the country soon, adding that the hunt for potential partners and investors is also underway.
Among others Rubavu and Musanze towns are next on the company’s expansion plan. Currently, Hotpoint has showrooms at Kisimenti and Payaje in Kigali.
At the forefront of innovation
In the past, Hotpoint has been at the forefront of innovation in the home appliances supply chain in Rwanda with one such breakthrough innovation being the company’s battery powered TV set.
In areas where electricity from the national grid is unreliable or places that have not been connected yet, Hotpoint’s battery powered TV allows 12 hours of watching non-stop, in a way fast tracking access to televised information.
Skariah further noted that for corporate staff and regular customers, they can negotiate installment purchase terms making purchase of high quality home electric appliances even more affordable.
