Bank of Kigali has concluded Customer Service Week with a children’s party held on Saturday 12th October 2019 in City of Kigali Car Free Zone.

The special occasion brought excitement to all children holding Kira Kibondo saving account accompanied by parents or guardians as they had fun with many children’s games and songs.

Kira Kibondo is an account for parents/guardians seeking to secure the financial future of their children aged 0 to 16.  Parents provide valid identification documents, complete an application form for their children, and attach a passport size photo for the child, mother and father.

Children enjoyed soft drinks, self-drive in toy cars, played volley ball, among other games.

Thierry Nshuti, the Bank of Kigali Head of Marketing and Products Development told Hope Magazine that the bank was delighted to celebrate child customers with games, highlighting that it is an opportunity to remind more parents to save for the future of children.

“During this customer service week, we appreciate customers for contribution to the growth of our business.  We have particularly celebrated with children owning saving accounts opened by parents to extend our appreciation to customers of different age brackets,” he noted.

A child gains powers of attorney and access to Kira Kibondo account when he/she turns 16. It attracts 8% profit per annum.

During the customer service week held from 7th to 11th October 2019, Bank of Kigali increased awareness of their new products on the market to clients, gave customers floor to air their concerns and visited schools to instill a saving culture among the youth.

Henriette Uwimana, mother three children with Kira Kibondo accounts at the bank of Kigali said much as she got a late communication about the party, she ensured that she and her children attend.

“Such a party leaves great impression on children’s memories. It relieves stress and shapes children’s positive mindsets to grow into self-reliant citizens with good attitudes,” she said.

This year’s Customer Service Week was globally celebrated under the theme “The Magic of Service”.
