Kigali, Rwanda. February, 2016 – Airtel Rwanda was among the top companies that took part in this year’s Rotary Club of Kigali annual dinner gala at Serena Hotel – Kigali.
The Rotary Club of Kigali holds an annual dinner gala to celebrate their achievements and communicate future plans. The club has been in existence for more than 100 years and has positively impacted the communities in Kigali and other parts of Rwanda.
This year’s dinner was hosted by the president of the Rotary Club of Kigali Mr. Frederic Auger. The president stressed the need to support the communities they operate in. Airtel Rwanda was one of the main sponsors of this year’s dinner gala where they contributed platinum sponsorship and also awarded one month’s subscription worth of Airtel 4G internet and gifts to the Tombola draws.
Speaking at the dinner, Airtel Rwanda Managing Director Mr. Michael Adjei said; “In over its 100 years of existence, the Rotary Club has been at the forefront of community welfare all over the world. Rwanda has also benefited from the club over last decade-. It is such respect that Airtel Rwanda has always chosen to partner with Rotary to support the communities we operate in. Tonight we further show our partnership by once again contributing to the Rotary cause through the Tombola prize draw.”
Airtel Rwanda continues to support the people in its areas of operation around the world. In Rwanda, there is an ongoing campaign dubbed as ’14 Days of Love’ where Airtel is donating needed materials and resources to individuals and organizations so as they can be able to enhance the contribution towards building greater society.
