The ministry of education through Rwanda Education Board today has released results for Ordinary level and Primary Leaving Examinations for 2011-2012.

All the 166,154 candidates who sat for the Primary leaving examinations passed.

 

 

The results for O’ level and Primary Leaving Examinations for 2011-2012 were released by   the ministry of education DR Vincent Biruta.

 

 

The number of candidates who sat for both O’ level and Primary Leaving Examinations 2011-2012 increased by 11,197 compared to those who sat for exams in 2010-2011.

 

 

Of the 166.154 candidates who passed PLE, 54.93% were boys and 45.07% were girls. 
Among the O’ level candidates, a total of 43,064 were boys representing 53,13 percent while girls were 37,989 which represent 46.87 percent.

 

 

Candidates can now check their results at the school they have been going to or by typing the student’s registration number and it to 489.

 

 

Of the 10 best pupils in the country, five are from New life Academy in Kayonza district, four are from Bright Academy in Nyagatare district, and one is from Good Harvest in Kicukiro district.

 

 

The two best students in the O’levels are from Nu Vision High School in Gasabo district.

 

Placement for senior 1 will take place on the 22 and 22 January, and on 24 and 25 January for senior 4. Courses for both senior 1 and senior 4 students will begin on the 7th February 2013.
