The Higher Education Council (HEC) has announced that there are three scholarships available at the Beijing Institute of Technology in China, at Master’s or PhD levels, starting in the academic year 2018-19. The institute has offered the scholarships through the bilateral cooperation between Rwanda and China.
Candidates for the scholarships must have studied in STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) and possess a bachelor’s degree of at least 2nd Class Upper division or equivalent for the Master’s programme or a good pass Master’s Degree for PhD candidates.
Applications can be submitted to the Higher Education Council (Students Loan Department) until 17 February. It should be noted that the scholarships cover all study-related costs, but not the air ticket which the accepted candidates will have to purchase themselves.
