At the next Kigali Farmers’ And Artisans’ Market (KFAAM), to be held on 3rd February at Brioche in Kacyiru, the organisers will hold a blood collection in conjunction with the National Centre for Blood Transfusion and the Rwanda Biomedical Center (RBC).
The purpose of the initiative is to encourage the population to donate blood which can save lives, and also educate the public and demystify misconceptions on blood donation. KFAAM will also continue to play its role in promoting community unity by ensuring that RBC is able to drive their agenda effectively.
The market is open to all, and blood collection be held from 1pm to 6pm.
This will mark the first of several partnerships between KFAAM and RBC to engage the community in this important exercise and further drive the reason why Rwanda Transfusion Services has attained recognition as a national programme of excellence.
