The Rwanda Golf Open will take place this week, from 15th to 18th November, at Kigali Golf Course.
The event is organized annually and attracts over 180 golfers from across the region. Announcing the tournament, the Rwanda Golf Union said it is open to both amateurs and professional players.
So far 60 players have registered and RGU anticipates more to register before the start of the tournament.
The main amateur category from HCP 9 and below will play for four days (72 holes) and the subsidiary category will play for two days, or 36 holes. The professional golfers’ prize money is Rwf 5 million.
The Rwanda Golf Open is sponsored by Bank of Kigali, Tigo Rwanda, BRD, Cimerwa, SULFO, Radisson Blue and GoTv Rwanda.
