Rwanda on Monday joined the rest of the world to celebrate the International Customer Service Week that takes places every year in the first week of October. The Rwanda Development Board (RDB), which spearheads the initiative in Rwanda, used the occasion to launch a survey to recognize the best customer care agents in the country.
At the RDB headquarters in Kigali, visitors were on Monday treated to beautiful decoration and gifts such as sweets.
On RDB’s Twitter account, officials said that the Customer Service Week, which runs from 2nd to 6th October under the theme ‘Building Trust,” is an opportunity to highlight the importance of building relationships with customers and also to motivate workers.
“Customer Service Week is a good opportunity to award (sic) the best staff in service delivery in your organization and motivate them to do better,” one tweet read.
Nominations for the Exceptional Service Excellence Awards can be made through a form on RDB’s website, which includes a brief description of maximum 100 words on why the nominee is the best service provider.
Companies throughout Rwanda will be holding special activities to mark the Customer Service Week.
Customer Service Week was initiated in 1992 with the aim to boost workers’ morale and motivation, reward the best workers as well as enhance team-work spirit.
